A first aid awareness course is a short session designed to give you the knowledge and confidence to help in common emergencies without the pressure of tests or certificates.
You won’t walk away with a formal qualification, but you will walk away with life-saving knowledge and the ability to act when it matters most.

Join us for Family First Aid Fridays on August 1st at the Heathfield Centre. A friendly, hands on session designed to give everyone in the home the confidence to help in an emergency.
Real-life, practical training that could make all the difference.
✔️ Learn how to handle common first aid situations
✔️ Feel confident supporting anyone in need
✔️ Learn about anaphylaxis, basic life support, choking and other common first aid situations
Bring along another family member, parent, carer or guardian and get £5 off for every extra person you bring.

Is this suitable for kids?
This course is open to anyone aged 14 and up. It’s a great learning experience for teens too especially those starting babysitting, Duke of Edinburgh, or heading to uni!

Will I get a certificate?
This is an awareness course you won’t get a formal qualification, but you will receive a certificate of attendance and plenty of practical knowledge that can be added to your CV as a skill.

Can I come on my own?
Absolutely! You don’t need to bring anyone with you. But if you do bring a family member (parent, partner, carer, grandparent etc), you’ll get £5 off for each extra person.

How do I book?
Best way to book is to fill out the booking form or to send an email letting us know how many places you would like and we will send you confirmation of your booking.

Do I need to bring anything?
Nope! Just yourself and maybe a notebook if you like taking notes. All materials will be provided on the day.

What if I’ve never done any first aid before?
This session is designed for beginners no prior knowledge needed. Everyone is welcome!

Will there be more sessions if I can't make this one?
Yes this is the first in a series. Keep an eye out or message me if you'd like to be notified about future dates! Depending on demand more session times may be added as well.
