Level 3 Regulated course - FAA

Level 3 Regulated course - FAA
This course has been developed for those who are working with children and infants. It will be of particular interest to teachers, child minders, crèche assistants, playgroup personnel and anyone else who has a responsibility for their welfare whilst in your care.

A half-day course covering essential first aid for young children.
Focused, practical training covering CPR, choking, wounds, burns, and managing emergencies until help arrives. Great for parents, carers, or anyone in a supporting childcare role. If you have a professional interest, i.e. you are a child-minder or school teacher, etc, then this course partly fulfils the requirements of Ofsted and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

Advanced first aid for remote, outdoor, or adventure settings.
Level 3 Regulated course - FAA
Covers casualty care in challenging environments, including managing breaks, hypothermia, burns, environmental hazards, enabling all participants to deal with emergency situations with confidence in a prompt and safe way, particularly where professional medical help is not immediately available. Great for activity leaders, hikers, and outdoor workers like ski or snowboard instructors.
This course also fulfils the requirements of the First Aid element of the expedition syllabus and it is suitable for the Bronze, Silver and Gold Duke of Edinburgh awards.

Level 2 Regulated course - FAA
Anyone can be affected by a mental health condition either themselves or a family member, friend or colleague.
This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.
Learners undertaking this course will be considered First Aiders for Mental Health and be a point of contact within the workplace to help and support those with a suspected mental health condition.

Level 2 Regulated course - FAA
This session provides key life-saving interventions: CPR, use of a defibrillator, and how to act quickly and effectively. Not only does this course deal with the use of an AED but it also includes vital training in resuscitation and choking procedures. Ideal for awareness or skills refreshers.

A friendly, hands on session designed to give everyone in the home the confidence to help in an emergency.

Core emergency response skills for any setting
Level 2 Regulated course - FAA
This is a basic First Aid course that covers how to deal with an unconscious casualty along with CPR. This is a great little course for anyone, irrespective of age, who would like to learn some basic life support techniques. Although it is not an approved qualification, all attendees will receive a certificate of attendance.

This 2-day First Aid at Work course is designed for those who currently hold a First Aid at Work qualification and are due to expire.
Level 3 Regulated course - FAA
IMPORTANT: A First Aider can renew their First Aid at Work qualification by attending a 2-day requalification course without question, if it’s within 1 month past the expiry date. If the First Aider has lapsed by more than 1 month, but no longer than 3 months, then the First Aider can requalify by attending a 2-day course providing ‘Special considerations’ have been applied The special considerations are: A signed letter from the employer to the provider of the training stating the reasons why in their opinion, the First Aider is suitably experienced to attend a 2-day course and does not require a full 3-day FAW course. Or a decision is made by the provider of the training after discussions with the employer, or the First Aider, and deciding that their previous experience is sufficient to attend a 2-day course
If the First Aider has lapsed beyond 3 months then they must attend a full 3-day First Aid at Work course
The important thing to remember is that as soon as the certificate expires, the First Aider is no longer considered competent to act as a First Aider in the workplace which may well leave the employer with a shortfall of First Aiders. Therefore, it would be prudent to arrange their First Aid at Work Requalification before they expire.
